Carolyn Michelle Deck

Personal Information

I am currently a Music Education Major at the University of Florida and I am expected to graduate May of 2009. I have been playing the clarinet for 13 years, but I have experience on all instruments including three semester of vocal performances. I am a native Spanish speaker born in South Florida and have recently gotten married (De Simone is my maiden name). When I am not in classroom or teaching, I enjoy volunteering for the American Cancer Society, participating in the U.F. chapter of CMENC, traveling, performing, attending concerts as well as attending teaching workshops and conferences with my fellow classmates. I hope be to in the public school system as music educator in the Fall of 2009 and attend graduate school while teaching after a few years of experience.
