Lesson Plan for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders
Description of Assignment
While planning this lesson it was important to spend a good amount of time to think of the best sequence to teach this lesson. In this lesson there are so many different steps that need to be taken in order to get to the final product and be successful in a short forty minute period. This lesson included many of the sunshine state standards in music from singing, instruments, movement, critical thinking, and notation. To really make sure that the students get to learn and partake in all these steps planning is an essential in its success. The lesson incorporates activities that meet the Grade Level expectations for their development. This accurately fulfills the criteria for Accomplished Practice 10 by:
- Plans lessons that meet students' musical interests and needs
- Plans and sequences of instruction that lead to the maximum learning of music
- Connects subject matter to the Sunshine State Standards
Artistic Processes/Medium
