Assessment Task #5

Description of Assignment

In this class we were asked to write a total of five assessment tasks throughout the semester. Each Assessment task was based off a certain Sunshine State Standard. These assessment tasks had to include seven components which are the standard, materials, description, administrative process, critical thinking prompt, scoring procedure, and data collection tool. Near the conclusion of the semester we all did power point presentations on one of our assessment tasks. This assessment task meets the Accomplished Practice #1 in the following ways:

•  Uses assessment techniques appropriate to the grade level and students

•  Employs a variety of assessment techniques

Artistic Processes/Medium

No Artistic Process was used

Rationale

This assessment task assignment is a great example of the importance of assessment and shows how I would use assessment when I teach. It shows that I will employ a variety of techniques in assessment and that the right ones are being used for the appropriate grade levels.
